The Shrink Tube Hair Extensions Course is a one-day training course where you will learn how to use these tubes of silicone to bond the hair extension with the natural hair. The extension stays put due to heat ‘shrinking’ the silicone tube so it closes. We will provide you with all the tools and equipment required for the course. However, you can bring a personal kit with you. Your kit should include shrink tubes, a heat connector tool, EZ threader tool, removal tool sectioning clips, a hair extension brush, crocodile sectioning clip, pin tail comb, and hairdresser’s equipment bag.

During training, you will discover everything about shrink tube hair extensions. Shrink tubes are tiny tubes of plastic, normally with a keratin coating to protect the hair. These shrink tubes are placed onto the natural hair and an extension is added within the tube. The tube is then sealed with heat. These extensions can last for between three to six months with the correct care.

You’ll also learn about selecting the best colour of extension for your client’s natural hair, how to correctly place an extension and how to maintain the quality of the extensions with specific care and products. You will practice your new skills on a training head until you are able to apply a full head of hair.
